  • Why Is Vinyl Cladding More Popular Than Ever?

If you want to protect the outside of your home as much as possible in the harsh Australian climate while keeping a close eye on your overall cost of living, you need to choose your external cladding very carefully. As you may know, there are many different choices available in the marketplace, but if you've never thought about vinyl as the material of choice, why should you give it very careful consideration?

  • Going Open Plan at Home? Why You Should Think Carefully Before You Proceed

Many people today value the practicality of an open plan home. It gives the impression of more space, can make the living area more bright and airy and can make it easier to serve meals that have been prepared in the kitchen. Therefore, it is little wonder that some people choose to remodel an existing, traditional home with such a goal in mind. If you're in this situation, you may be planning the construction job ahead.

  • Why Asbestos Is Still A Problem

There have been many improvements to operational health and safety when it comes to construction and the materials used in buildings. In the past, it was not uncommon for workers to experience an injury on the job, and the quality of these buildings may not compare to modern structures. Some of those buildings that were constructed in the past may still be harbouring some hidden dangers. Nowhere is this more obvious than with asbestos.

  • Wastewater System Considerations for Assisted Living Facilities

As assisted living facilities grow and expand, the idea of having an onsite wastewater system may come up. By having an onsite wastewater system, you can ensure that the septic and water filtration systems are working at the highest quality for your residents at all times.

Window coverings come in many forms and varieties, including blinds and curtains. Another option is plantation shutters, which will benefit your home in numerous ways. Here's how. Decorative Plantation shutters are a decorative treatment that draws attention to the windows. They give a warm, textured effect because of their layered louvres. However, they're not as intrusive as curtains, which take up a lot of space and protrude into a room. Plantation shutters offer the perfect amount of ornamentation without being over the top.

About Me
Building Your Dream Apartment

Hi! My name is Robert. I live in Brisbane with my wife and our two kids. For many years, I have been saving up money so I could build our dream home. I first saw my dream home when I was aged 21. I was on a holiday to the USA and was staying with friends in California. While down on the beach one day, I spotted a lovely mansion house which was high up on the cliffs. I decided that one day, I would like a house like that. Last year, I instructed a team on house builders to begin construction of our new home and I couldn't be happier. I have learnt so much from the experience, I decided to start this blog.
